Historical Ibaan
With so many houses that we've visited in Ibaan, I didn't realize Mang Mael Patena's house in Yabyabin St., Poblacion, actually houses number of historical artifacts that he and his family have been keeping for number of years. These articles were actually and originally owned by Cayetano Roxas Montalbo and wife Juana Vasquez who lived in Ibaan in the 1930s. C. R. Montalbo, on the other hand, is the son of Municipality of Ibaan Mayor Martin Montalbo. Their home is currently being occupied by their daughter Aling Auring, Mang Mael's wife.
Most of the first couple's precious possessions include religious images and and some personal properties. Here are some of what we've dug from their past.
