Gen. Gregorio Malvar's Table

The General's table, 1861.
Acquired back in 1861, this table made of Balayong wood was believed to have been used by the great Gen. Gregorio Malvar. He was a close relative of Lolo Lucio Perez who was married to Lola Natalia Pasia. Lolo Lucio eventually became Kabesa de Barangay of Brgy. Salaban II, Ibaan, Batangas.

The 150 year old table was widely used during his term as Kabesa de Barangay. It was handed down to third generation of the family and is currenlty with the Pasia-Perez-Briones-Hernandez familty in Brgy. Salaban II. Unfortunately, they were not able to preserve the table's partner bench (bangko).

Although beaten and worn out, it remains steadfast with its fool-proof hardness. The barangay and the family still find it useful with their occasions and other activities.
